I like Susana Martinez myself. But I heard on the radio this morning that the phone lines in Iowa and New Hampshire are already buzzing, and that "the first phase of campaign 2016 is moving along." Kind of scary.

I'm not surprised I think they ought to wait until after the mid-term elections to start.
ReplyDeleteOn the increasingly tenuous assumption that there will still be elections in this country in four years, I think the Republican party is at a point that it must consider how to redefine itself to the stacked and rapidly engorging entitlement constituency of this nation. All the massive voter fraud and reprehensible media bias notwithstanding, the electorate is currently an interest based body. The traditional GOP appeal to values finds a decreasing audience. This is "what's in it for me" time. I think some of the younger potential stars of the party are, advisedly, out testing the waters to see what will sell in the future. As the sign indicates, however, this supposes there will be something left to save after the current criminal in the White House has four more years to destroy Christianity, morality, the Constitution, the rule of law and the economy.
